why invest in cornell's chapter of phi beta kappa?
We believe that Phi Beta Kappa has a duty beyond recognizing achievement in the arts and sciences.
Phi Beta Kappa students should be a testament to the success of our education system and to the Phi Beta Kappa spirit of lifelong learning and exploration. Living up to that vision should mean not only embracing scholarship for ourselves but bringing it to others. For this reason, the Cornell Chapter sponsors two annual lectures to highlight scholarship and academic achievement to the student body at large and promote discourse about the role of the arts and the sciences moving forward.
At the same time that we look to support the role of arts and sciences in the Cornell community, we believe in highlighting and encouraging our members' pursuits in these areas. We hope to be able to maintain and grow our scholarship fund to provide support for students as they move on from Cornell to carry the Phi Beta Kappa philosophy further in their studies and careers. We also hope to be able to provide support to make education in the arts and sciences possible for students with bright futures, but limited economic means.
An investment in Cornell’s Phi Beta Kappa is an investment in scholarship, intellectual discourse, and the lives of our students.
